The Lighthouse Young Professionals Committee has partnered with Queen City Exchange to present the 2023 Queen City Beer Mile.
  • The event is a one mile run/walk in which participants can drink one 12oz beer at four separate bars along the race route in Over-the-Rhine.
  • Registration fee includes a Queen City Exchange t-shirt, swag bag, four 12oz draft Rhinegeist beers along the route, and one 16oz draft Rhinegeist beer at Queen City Exchange after the race.
  • Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the young people and families served by Lighthouse Youth & Family Services!

No more gala formalwear or assigned seating! This four-day event features a pop-up art show featuring more than 20 artists, a VIP cocktail party, and a celebration of this year’s two Lighthouse Beacon of Light Humanitarian Award honorees. Dr. Victor Garcia and Barbara Turner are community leaders having an undeniable and positive impact in service to young people and families in our community. The celebration includes dinner by the bite, an open bar, live art demonstrations, entertainment, and a silent auction.

Inside Lighthouse events offer unique opportunities to learn more about the many ways Lighthouse serves young people and families to help them succeed.

This month, the focus is on Lighthouse residential treatment programs. Lighthouse provides long-term housing and extensive support services to youth ages 11-18 with serious to severe emotional and behavioral problems combined with other needs.

This month, the focus is on Lighthouse Community Juvenile Justice Services. Lighthouse works to improve outcomes for youth ages 13-22 who become involved in the juvenile justice system. All services are designed to reduce the possibility of future criminal activity and provide youth with the skills needed for long-term success. This includes treatment, workforce development, educational advancement, and community engagement. Lighthouse Community Juvenile Justice Services are available in Hamilton, Montgomery, and Ross counties.

The event includes a meal and an engaging information session with our CEO and a team member with expertise on the highlighted program. A virtual option is available. This month, the focus is on services for young people experiencing homelessness. The Lighthouse Sheakley Center for Youth houses 36 individual shelter bedrooms, a resource center, our street outreach team, and 39 apartments. Through Lighthouse Youth Housing Opportunities, young adults master essential life skills while living in safe, furnished apartments located in the Sheakley Center or at scattered sites in Hamilton County.
