KEYS to a Future Without Youth Homelessness

KEYS to a Future Without Youth Homelessness

Lighthouse is the lead agency on the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP), an effort to help communities come up with new and innovative ways to eliminate youth homelessness. In partnership with Strategies to End Homelessness, Lighthouse is working with many community partners on the plan to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati. It’s called  KEYS to a Future Without Youth Homelessness and it was approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in January  2018.

Cincinnati/Hamilton County is one of 10 communities selected to participate in the HUD-funded Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP), with a goal of developing and implementing an innovative plan to end youth homelessness by 2020. We’re using our award of $3.8 million to fund strategies to end homelessness among the 18-to-24-year-old population.
