POP-UP ART SHOW AND FUNDRAISER

Thank you for your interest in the Beacon of Light pop-up art show.

The four-day Beacon of Light event features a pop-up art show, a VIP cocktail party, and a celebration of this year’s two Lighthouse Beacon of Light Humanitarian Award honorees. Dr. Victor Garcia and Barbara Turner are community leaders having an undeniable and positive impact in service to young people and families in our community. The celebration at Element Eatery in Madisonville includes dinner by the bite, an open bar, live art demonstrations, entertainment, and a silent auction.

We’re looking for artwork in all styles and mediums with a maximum price of $3,000. Click here to complete and submit the interest form.
The deadline for submissions is the end of the day, March 1, 2023

The pop-up art show will be located in a retail space adjacent to Element Eatery in Madisonville.

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services’ Commitment

  • Display Assistance: Lighthouse will provide up to two 8’x4′ panels to display your art and lighting (as necessary).
  • Pop-Up Show Costs: Lighthouse will cover the costs of the show.
  • Lighthouse will provide lunch for artists during open hours.
  • Each artist will receive two tickets for the VIP reception on Thursday, April 27.
  • Each artist will receive two tickets for the celebration on Saturday, April 29,
  • Security will be provided during off-hours.
  • Lighthouse will provide images and press releases to local media and promote the show in many ways, including via our website, email, and social media.

Exhibiting Artist Responsibilities

  • Provide promotional photos by March 31.
  • Thursday, April 27, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Deliver artwork and set up display.
  • Be available on site during show hours as much as possible.
  • Replace sold artwork with new pieces as they are sold and removed from the space.
  • Sunday, April 30, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Remove unsold art.
  • Insurance/Liability: The artist is responsible for safe delivery and return of work. Lighthouse will do all it can to maintain the safety of the art while on exhibit, but Lighthouse does not assume responsibility for any damage that might occur.

The pop-up art show is a fundraiser supporting the services Lighthouse provides to children, youth, and families in need.
Lighthouse is utilizing a profit-share model for the event. Artists are asked to donate 50% of their sales to Lighthouse.

The event’s Artist Selection Committee will review all submissions and make final selections. Artists will be notified of the decisions as soon as possible after the deadline.
