Youth in Crisis

Residential Treatment Services

Lighthouse provides housing and emotional support and therapeutic programming to youth ages 12-18 with serious emotional and behavioral problems combined with other needs. The goal is to empower them to make positive changes for their futures in a place where they can feel at home.

Lighthouse has two residential treatment locations, New Beginnings for girls and the Youth Development Center for boys. Both are safe and welcoming places where teens heal through nurturing, accountability, and guidance.

Young people learn how to make healthy decisions, express emotions through appropriate communication and behaviors, and increase their ability to live productive lives. Each young person receives the treatment and support they need, tailored for them. Services can include therapy, life skills training, and group sessions. While in residential treatment, youth attend school, have opportunities to get work experience, and build strong relationships with mentors they can trust. They also have fun doing things like art projects, taking field trips, and exploring new interests.
