About Us

Since 1969, Lighthouse Youth Services has been a beacon of hope for abused and neglected children and for families in crisis. Lighthouse provides residential care each day for more than 250 children in our foster homes, group homes, residential treatment centers, supervised apartments, and other residential programs. Children of all ages come to us...from infants to older youth.

Lighthouse is a national leader in our work with children. Staff members author nationally published books and articles, frequently present at national conferences and consult with states and agencies nationwide.

Since its inception, Lighthouse has been characterized by innovation, a willingness to meet needs as they arise and a commitment to a continuum of care. These threads run through our work with abused and neglected, delinquent, homeless or runaway youth and their families.

"Lighthouse is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Abuse services, licensed by the Ohio Department of Human Services, accreditation for Services to Children and Families, and receives funding, in part, from the United Way and the City of Cincinnati."
